CPEC and Career Prospects for Civil Engineers in Pakistan
China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an economic corridor that is under construction in Pakistan. The estimated cost of CPEC is around $54 billion. The main purpose of this project is to connect Gwadar Port with Xinjiang in far-western China. This project opened up the door of employment in Pakistan and it is considered to play a major factor in the progress of Pakistan. The bilateral alliance of Pakistan and China with CPEC is an economically driven based decision. Both countries have a history of standing with each other through thick and thin and now CPEC is another milestone that elaborates this fact.
